Engelsberg

The Engelsberg vineyard in Endingen forms the heart of our winery. The Pinot varieties find ideal conditions on the limestone-rich loess soils, partly on volcanic weathered rock. The mild climate and numerous hours of sunshine characterize this location in the northeastern Kaiserstuhl. This results in wines with juicy fruit, fine elegance, and distinctive minerality.

Amolterer

Steinhalde

The prime location of Steinhalde lies in the middle of the oldest nature reserve in the Kaiserstuhl region. The biodiversity and occurrence of rare species characterize the Amolterer Heide and make this location so unique. The southwestern slopes and small terraces are cultivated in a natural way. The weathered soil of volcanic origin and the altitude of 330 meters above sea level ensure optimal ripening of the grapes. This results in wines that captivate with their complexity, density, and finest minerality.

Schönenberg

The majestic terraced vineyard offers an impressive view over the Upper Rhine Plain. Loess on volcanic rock forms the ideal symbiosis in the prime location on Schönenberg. Vines over 50 years old penetrate deep into the soil with their roots, supplying the grapes with minerals and nutrients. At over 300 meters above sea level, the nighttime cooling ensures perfect aroma development and preservation of freshness. The result is wines with great minerality, fruitiness, and elegance.

Wihlbach

An agricultural estate was established in Endingen's Wihlbach valley as far back as Roman times, and the first vineyards were planted under Emperor Probus, a patron of Germanic viticulture. The meter-thick loess cover with high lime content provides our vines with an excellent supply of water and nutrients. The wines from the premier Wihlbach vineyard are characterized by their juicy character, fine fruit, and great complexity.

Eckkinzig

One of the oldest Chardonnay vineyards in the region is located in Eckkinzig. Planted over 40 years ago as an experimental vineyard with vines from the most renowned French regions, the old vines are now deeply rooted in the calcareous loess soil. This allows valuable nutrients and minerals from the subsoil to reach the grapes. The result is characterful wines with delicate fruit, elegant structure, and finely nuanced spice.
